一教材分析

1. 教学内容分析

外研版《小学英语》第八册第六单元围绕“Summer vacation”这一话题展开教学活动。本课是本单元第一课,主要学习 “a mountain, an island a big city, a small town  ”四种地点词组和“have/had a picnic, take/took some pictures, do/did some shopping, swim/swam in the sea”四种动词原型和过去式短语,就去年暑假生活这一话题展开对话。依据新英语课程标准的精神,以激发学生的学习兴趣为出发点,以能力培养为宗旨,科学安排教学内容,合理设计教学任务,让学生在教师的指导下通过体验、实践、参与、合作与交流,帮助学生发展综合语言运用能力。

 

 

 

2. 教学对象分析

 

六年级学生已接受了三年系统的英语学习,具有一定认知能力,对英语学习有着较为浓厚的兴趣,渴望获得更多的知识,以丰富自己的交际内容,提高自身的交际能力。

 

二、教学目标

 

1. 语言知识目标

 

(1) 能听懂、会说、会读并正确书写词组:

 

a mountain, an island, a big city ,a small town ,have/had a picnic, take/took some pictures, do/did some shopping, swim/swam in the sea

 

(2) 能听懂、会说并正确书写关于暑期的句子:

 

 Where did you go on your summer vacation last year?

 

 I went to my uncle’s house. He lives on an island…

 

Did you have a good time?

 

 Yes, I did. I took some pictures …

 

(3) 掌握过去时态的基本构成及动词过去式的不规则变化.

 

2.语言能力目标

 

通过本节课学习,使学生能够用英语询问并回答和暑假相关的话题,提高学生的语言实际运用能力。

 

3. 情感态度目标

 

培养学生对学习的积极态度。

五、教学过程

 

Step 1. Warm-up

 

Children’s day has gone.Summer vacation is coming soon.It’s in July and August.

 

教学设计意图:由老师旅行照片导入新课,直切主题,为新地点做铺垫。

 

Step 2. Presentation 1 : Vocabulary

 

Have the Ss look at the pictures of the four places, then listen and repeat.

 

Pair work : Where did you go last year? I went to Beijing. It’s a big city.

 

教学设计意图:用课件导入新地点,创设真实语境,吸引学生注意力,在大量图片的铺垫后有意识的引导学生回忆曾去过的地方,自然导入本课重点对话“Where did you go? I went to…”,激发了学生参与的积极性,又开口练说了英语。

 

Invite several students to the blackboard to do some actions. Have other students look and guess: What did they do ?

 

Help the students understand the meanings with the help of body language and objects if necessary. Practise the words in different ways.

 

4. Game: a die game

 

(教学设计意图:“掷色子”的游戏对本课动词词组进行巩固操练,进一步帮助学生掌握“What did you do? I …”的用法)

 

Step 3 . Presentation II : Dialogs

 

1. Ss watch the video “summer vacation” and answer the two questions :

 

(1) What is coming soon?

 

(2) Did they have a good time last summer ?

 

2. Have the Ss listen and read to the dialogs, then try to answer the three questions.

 

3. Have the Ss to fill in the blanks.

 

教学设计意图:在教完本课重难点词汇、句型后,回归课本,自然过渡到对话的理解、朗读。学生带着问题加深对课文的理解和把握。听读全文感知文意,此后就主要人物在暑假活动展开阅读讨论,提高学生语言运用水平,为下面表演扩展环节提供语言支撑。

 

Step 4. Extension

 

Divide all the Ss into some groups to make a survey Where /What …last year/last summer /last weekend?.Encourage them to practise the target language :

 

 

 

A: Where did you go last summer?

 

B: I went to a big city .

 

 

A: What did you do there ?

 

B: I took some pictures …

 

教学设计意图:学生开展小组调查活动,既培养了学生团队合作精神,也体现了新课程标准提倡的在活动中进行英语口语交际的精神,实现了知识到能力的过渡。

 

Step 6. Summary

 

Use the CAI to review the key words and the dialogs.

 

教学设计意图:梳理本课内容,突出主题。

 

Step 7. Homework

 

1. Listen to the tape and read the dialogs aloud after school.

 

2. Write a letter or a diary about your summer vacation last year.
