Objective:

Students can demonstrate that they can read clearly and understand what they are reading. They can show creativity in terms of predicting future events and details in the story.

Process:

1) Preview vocabulary if necessary and introduce story (5-10 minutes)

2) Read story page by page, checking comprehension (15-20 minutes)

3) Predict what is in the closet; write sentences (5-10 minutes)

4) Finish story, discuss (5 minutes)

5) Role Play if time – students read the full story again while acting it out. Conclude lesson (5 minutes)
