一 案例与课标结合点
1. 《课标》中关于读写的二级目标描述要求:“能在图片的帮助下读懂简单的小故事。”
2. 关于学习策略的二级目标要求:“尝试阅读英语故事及其他英语课外阅读”;并能“积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。”

二 案例背景介绍和设计思路
本课的教学内容是个小语篇,重点描述的是小猫的成长过程。授课对象是五年级学生,课型为阅读教学。

三、设计理念:
1. 突出“以人为本”的教育思想,其核心是以学生为中心,以学生的发展为主,注重学生的全面发展与个性差异的统一。课上能给学生创造四维空间,让学生积极参与课堂。

2. 阅读是学生获取信息的重要途径之一,通过阅读可以开启学生的指挥,心灵。开阔学生的眼界,帮助学生学会思考,发展思维。培养学生良好的阅读习惯,可以使学生终生受益。因此,在教学时,笔者注重培养学生的兴趣,使他们爱学,乐学,把阅读作为一件快乐的事情。在阅读中注重对学生阅读策略的培养,分为before reading, while reading, after reading。借助课文中预料为学生搭建支架,引导学生语言输出更加丰满,阅读上有所提高。

3 课上力求体现突出开放的教学设计。

三 案例呈现

教学目标
1. 能够运用略读技巧,快速找出阅读材料的主要信息。
2. 能够根据老师提出的问题,运用精度技巧,在阅读材料中找出答案并画在书上。
3. 能够在基本句型的支持下,描述自己喜欢的小动物的成长历程以及自己的成长日记。

教学内容
1. 学习词汇: kitten, fur, pink, make noises
2. 学习小猫的一些生长特点,生长过程。
3. 能学会描述自己养的小动物的生长过程以及自己的成长过程。

教学活动
1. 读前通过猜谜活动引出kitten, 通过和学生的语言交流,教师了解学生熟知的小猫的信息。
2. 读中环节通过四种不同的阅读任务,培养学生的阅读策略,从材料中获取信息。
3. 读后缓解学生能够在语言的支持下描述自己喜欢的动物的生长过程,记录自我成长那个日记。

教学过程:

1. 读前活动
(1) 师生同玩打地鼠游戏,学生在规定时间迅速辨认地鼠头上闪现的英文日期、动物名称等词组,回答正确者加分。此活动旨在帮助学生复习阅读文章中出现的几个关键日期。

(2) 教师引导学生进行猜测活动,给出几个简短的句子,猜出动物名称。猜出是kitten之后,问学生:What do you know about kitten? 听完学生的回答之后,给学生观看小猫成长的视频,然后呈现出几个关键词,让学生判断对错, 看看哪些是关于小猫的。

(3)教师根据学生的回答情况,为学生布置本节课的学习任务,即:在本课学完后。详细地描述有关小猫的基本信息,或选择一个你喜欢的小动物,针对他的生长历程进行简单的描述。

2. 读中活动
(1)第一遍阅读
教师请学生回答一个问题, What’s Sarah’s diary about?
略读或者粗读,布置任务(理解大意)→粗读并画在书上→检查。学生快速阅读全文,理清了文章脉络,了解课文大意,明确文章的主题思想,旨在培养学生快速阅读的技巧。
(2)第二遍阅读,Read and underline。

学生回答细节问题:
What’s the date?
What are they like?
What can’t they do?
(3)第三遍阅读
让学生阅读第二段到第四段,完成配对连线的任务。让学生将日期和小猫的生长情况连线配对,之后让学生把日期和生长的描述组合成一个句子。
为了让学生在任务产出环节语言更加流畅,教师在此环节为学生搭设了一个语言运用的支架。让学生把日期和小猫的生长特点连线配对,并且组合成完整的句子,目的是完成任务的时候,学生可以根据这个句型对其他小动物的成长进行描述。降低了语言表达的难度。如图所示:

(4)第四遍阅读
朗读:学生打开书跟读两遍课文,之后让学生分组朗读。接着让学生根据板书提示复述。复述课文提示语,如图所示:
April 15th pink still can’t see
April 21st make noises white fur
April 26th eyes open
May 3rd walk play with Robin

3. 读后活动
(1)Sarah将邮件发送给Amy,接着呈现出Amy给Sarah的回信,也提到了饲养的宠物,通过声音让学生猜出鹦鹉,展现出邮件的句型和框架后,提供相应的日期所对应的鹦鹉的生长情况,让学生讨论并且填写日记。

(2)给学生总结日记的格式。

(3)前面的教学活动已经让学生了解了小猫的成长视频,接着给学生展示出小狗的成长历程,让学生观看讨论,说说小狗在不同的阶段的生长特点。
(4) 学生观察蝌蚪,鸡,蝴蝶的生长历程的图片,小组讨论填写成长日记,组长汇报。
